DLB Hosts Inaugural New Space for Performing Arts Stage Products and Technology Exchange Conference, Unveiling the Spectacular Glints Circle

On the afternoon of November 1, 2024, DLB hosted the “Inaugural New Space for Performing Arts Stage Products and Technology Exchange Conference.” Sponsored by the New Space Professional Committee of the Guangdong Province Performance Industry Association and the Guangdong Province Stage Art Research Association, this event gathered industry leaders and experts to showcase and discuss the latest advancements in stage technology and immersive lighting, setting a new standard in stage design.

The conference’s agenda was rich with product showcases and technology discussions, from guest check-ins to an evening banquet. Key highlights included a roundtable on new trends in performing arts spaces and an array of presentations on immersive lighting and stage effects. At 6:00 p.m., DLB’s groundbreaking Glints Circle installation took center stage, captivating attendees with its innovative design and sophisticated lighting choreography.

The Glints Circle draws inspiration from humanity’s fascination with the cosmos, symbolizing exploration and boundless creativity. Crafted like a cosmic stargate, it comprises eight interlocking rings that combine kinetic lift technology with LED lighting to create a dynamic and expansive visual experience. The outermost ring is designed to resemble a luminous galaxy, casting a grand and powerful presence with a 360-degree LED display, ensuring the installation can be admired from any angle.

Each component of the Glints Circle, including the Kinetic Bar, Kinetic Pixel Line, Kinetic Bulb, Kinetic Mini Ball, and LED Ring, works in harmony to deliver a layered lighting effect. Moving towards the center, the rings gradually decrease in diameter, with lighting density intensifying, inviting guests on a visual journey to the core of the “universe.” These layers of light blend seamlessly, heightened by DLB’s advanced lift system that allows the elements to move fluidly at speeds of up to 0.6 meters per second.

The interplay between kinetic and lighting effects creates a fully immersive experience that transports audiences into a world of light and motion. DLB’s Glints Circle, with its meticulous attention to detail and integration of kinetic and LED components, is a testament to the company’s commitment to pioneering innovations in stage lighting. This unveiling at the conference not only solidified DLB’s position as an industry leader but also opened new possibilities for the future of immersive stage design.
